Granville Leander "Lee" Hensley

Granville Leander “Lee” Hensley, 84 of Sanford passed away Monday August 31, 2026. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday (9/5/2026) at Lemon Springs United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hensley was born in White County Arkansas, a son of the late Leander Thaine Hensley and Mary Naomi Goodloe Hensley. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Foley. Lee was a longtime member of Lemon Springs United Methodist Church where he served as organist, choir director and taught Sunday School for many years. He loved his Lord, and his family, playing golf, fishing and teaching Gods word. He was a very talented musician, a Certified Lay Speaker and held services at several different nursing homes.

Mr. Hensley is survived by his wife, Christine Freeman Hensley; daughter, Betty Hilton (Bobby); sons, Charles Patterson (Tammy), and Joseph Patterson (Nicole) Robert Hensley (Diane); nine grandchildren, Jonathan, David, Robert, Emily, Christi, Izabella, Joey, Jazmine, and Roman; four great grandchildren, Wesley, Raelyn, Lillie, and Savannah; one brother, Don Hensley; several nieces and nephews.
