Gilbert Lee Rosser

Gilbert Lee Rosser, 91 of Sanford passed away Monday March 30th, 2020. Services will be private at this time; however, a Celebration of Gilbert’s life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Rosser was born in Harnett Co, a son of the late Neill Joseph Rosser and Easter Patterson Rosser. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Cole Rosser; his son, Michael Rosser; siblings, Maude Agnes Rosser, Clara Bell Roridan, Josephine Angel, Richard Rosser, James Rosser, Nelson Rosser and Landon Rosser.

Mr. Rosser was a Veteran of the US Navy and retired from the United States Treasury Dept as a National Bank Examiner. After retirement, he was an avid golfer. And in later life, he found no greater joy than spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Rosser is survived by two daughters, Michele Smith of Drayton, SC, and Melissa Lombard (Louis) of Centreville, VA; his daughter in law Amanda Rosser of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren Stephanie, Christopher, Caitlin, Lindsey, Erin, Ellen, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Brodie, Mollie, Zane, and Wyatt; sisters, Mayme Carter, Margaret Barker, Mary Kelly Thomas and sister in law Rebecca Rosser of Broadway.
