Gilbert D Holder

Gilbert D. Holder, 88 of Sanford peacefully passed away Sunday May 7^th 2023.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (5/17/2023) at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Holder was born in Harnett Co, a son of the late Lewis Talmadge Holder and Ola Mae Kennedy Holder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia “Jenny” Campbell Holder. He was a longtime member of Poplar Springs United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. Gilbert was a motorcycle mechanic at Honda Suzuki of Sanford for many years.

Mr. Holder is survived by his daughter, Tanya Holder Washburn (Todd) of Norfolk, VA; brother, Lewis T. “L.T.” Holder of Sanford.

The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
