Gertrude Yow Thompson

Gertrude Welch Yow Thompson, 90 of Sanford, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Prosperity Friends Church Cemetery, in Robbins.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Moore Co, daughter of the late Ross Welch and Edna Phillips Welch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Yow, daughter Ruby Mae Yow, and two grandsons, Scott Bailey and Tim Harrison and a sister Nancy Welch.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her children, Donald Yow (Toni), Carolyn Coley (Jerry), Brenda Sasser (Kirby), and Linda Yow; four grandchildren, Brian Sasser, Grant Sasser, Lewis Yow, and Rebecca Davis; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Vronah Batsel (Anthony)..
