George Sanford Honeycutt

George Sanford Honeycutt, 80, of Sanford passed away on Sunday August 31, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 4th at First Baptist Church at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30-2:45pm before the service.

George was the son of the late George Gline Honeycutt and Ruby Pope Honeycutt. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and received a Purple Heart for his acts during his service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Roland Palmer SS Class and the VFW.

He is survived by his wife Brenda T. Honeycutt; son Chris Honeycutt and wife Marshelle; daughter Jennifer Honeycutt Price and husband Jason; granddaughters Kayla Gonzalez and husband Jose and Gillian Walter.
