Gabriel Thomas "Gabe" Dempster

Gabriel Thomas “Gabe” Dempster, 19 of Sanford passed away Sunday April 30, 2017. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Friday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service.

Gabe was born in Sanford on Jan. 7, 1998. He graduated from Lee co Sr High School and had a fondness for video games. He enjoyed video games so much that he was learning how to “code” for developing his own games.

Pokémon was one of his favorites. The Make a Wish Foundation sent Gabe and his family to Tokyo, Japan where he went to the Pokémon Center every day. He was a very creative man who loved music, reading, the water and swimming at the beach.

Surviving are his mother, Regina Gallagher and step father David Porter; his father, Joe Dempster; brother, Benjamin Porter; grandparents, Jane and Lou Azzolino, Georgette and Paul Dempster, and Patricia and John Porter; aunts and uncles, Marcia and Tony Swanson, Dr. Thomas and Kara Dempster, Michael Azzolino, Traci Lewis, Mark and Deneen Azzolino, Cecilia and Dexter Adams, Sybil and Brad Bolt, Naomi Fruitt and great uncle Bill Gazzola.
