Guestbook

I just recently learned of Fran's passing and want to send my condolences to her family. I worked with Fran for many years at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and always found her to be a dedicated, conscientious employee. She spoke often of her family and enjoyed teaching at, as I recall, Sandhills Community College and serving as a guardian ad liter in Lee County, again as I recall. She had a strong work ethic and wanted things done right, and she believed in doing right. I'm sure she will be missed by family and friends. Know that our prayers are with you at this time.

I remember meeting Francine for the first time, we soon became great friends. My better-half is Francine's nephew, and boy did she love her some Don. She'd call here or walk through the Pine tree lot that separated our homes from one another. It'll never be another one like her.

My memories of Ms. Starnes are to many to list, but her love of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera" is definitely at the top. Those who knew her will agree. Ms. Starnes made an impact on my life, especially in my early years in the Annex building at Cape Fear Valley. She loved her family, her friends, her pets. I am thankful that she was a part of my life. Although we lost touch after her retirement, I thought of her often. Annette and Andrew, her love and dedication to you was evident. I'm hoping that you find comfort in the memories you have of her.
