Frances Cooper Barker

Frances Cooper Barker, 90 of Wilmington, formerly of Sanford, passed away Friday evening, January 19, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday at Lee Memory Gardens.

The Johnston County native was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Mattie S. Whitley.  She was predeceased by husband Dewey Hobson Cooper, Jr. and husband Gaithel B. Barker.  She attended East Carolina College.  She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church. 

Surviving are daughters Joyce Cooper of Wilmington and Mary Ann Holland of Raleigh, son-in-law Charles Holland, grandchild Jake Cooper Holland of Raleigh, sister Dorothy Oldenburg of Naples, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends between 5:00 and 7:00pm Tuesday January 23rd at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.
