Faye Simmons Callahan

Faye Simmons Callahan, 82 of Moncure passed away Monday October 20, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday (10/26) at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday at 1:00 pm before the funeral. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Callahan was born in Robeson Co, daughter of the late Odell Simmons and Eula Mae Johnson Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Callahan, son, Kenneth Darryl Jones and an infant daughter, Carolyn Faye Jones; siblings, Norris Simmons (Nannie), Mary Lynn S. Baker Warwick, and Bruce Simmons (Shirley); her beloved dogs, Bear and Jay. She was a 1968 graduate of the Raleigh School of Data Processing, retired from First Union Mortgage Corp. Mrs. Callahan was a member of Barlow Vista Baptist Church in Hampstead where she would volunteer her time as a member of the “Peace Makers” (Quilting) at the Church.

Mrs. Callahan is survived by her daughter, Bridget Lankford (Charles); grandchildren, Kalan Lankford (Ariel), Michael Jones (Marina), and Shawn Stephens (Christi); great grandchildren, Austin Charles Lankford, Mason Dixon Stephens, and Kelly Stephens; daughter in law, Debbie Stephens Jones; best and dearest friend, Sandra Stephens; several loving nieces and nephews.
