Dottie was dear friend of my mother,Ethel Witherington Francis of Washington,NC. I used to live in NJ and in the summer,I came down to Washington and would take the ladies, including Dottie, to lunch or to my place on the river.I have many pictures of them together. I now live in Pinehurst and am so sorry I didn't know that Dottie was right here .
My sympathies to you and all her family. She was a special lady.Emily

I first met Dotty when I began playing golf with the Par Seekers at Southern Pines Golf Club in Southern Pines and I don't think I have every met a more gracious person. Dotty was a joy to play golf with and I am so happy to have known her.

I remember Mrs Dottie from Grace Missionary Baptist Church. I also remember her kindness to me at Wayne Memorial Hospital when my mother went to Heaven. Mrs Dottie was a blessing in my life and I'm so sorry for your loss.

Ms.Dottie was absolutely the woman described in Proverbs 31. i have not seen her since she moved from Goldsboro. i have very fond memories of her during the time the family lived on Daisy St in Goldsboro while Ray, Steve and Rodney were young. one of my favorite memories is her loading up kids in neigborhood and taking to Vacation Bible School at Grace Baptist church where the family faithfully attended. No doubt in my mind that her and Mr Velton are celebrating her entering into her final home with her Lord and Saviour. Ray, Steve and Rodney i am so sorry. i heard about your mom's passing tonight from Sandra Gurley and missed the opportunity to go and share my condolences with you today at the memorial service. love you guys and i know Ray and J.A. share the same .God bless you and give you peace over your mom's homegoing.. i will be praying for you guys and your families.
