Donnie Cummings

Donnie McNair Cummings, 66 passed away Friday June 9, 2017.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Calvary Missionary Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Cummings was born in Moore County and preceded in death by his father Smith M. Cummings.  He was an avid coin, comic book, baseball card collector. He loved to read books, loved animals and worked helping vets with animals since childhood. Mr. Cummings was active in his church, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and loved his Church family and his Family and Children.

Mr. Cummings is survived by his wife Myrtis Jean Cummings; his daughter Letha Gaines (Keith) of Asheboro and son Jerry Henley of Asheboro; Mother Mary Lloyd and stepfather George Lloyd; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM Monday in the Church Fellowship Hall.
