Pastor Donald Eugene Kivett, 67, of Sanford, North Carolina, entered the arms of his Savior on June 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A funeral will be held on Friday June 6, 2025 at 12pm at Nueva Visión Church at 2626 Watson Ave. Sanford, NC 27330 Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday June 5, 2025 from 6-8pm at Christian Faith Ministries.
A man of unwavering faith, bold compassion, and deep humility, Donald lived his life completely surrendered to Jesus Christ. For nearly 30 years, he faithfully led Christian Faith Ministries, offering hope, healing, and truth to all who walked through its doors. He dedicated his life to serving others—feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and praying for the sick both locally and on mission fields around the world.
Donald’s heart beat was for the broken, the lost, and the overlooked. Whether through his powerful preaching, teaching, quiet counseling, or street and bus ministry, he made it his mission to love people as Jesus would. He never met a stranger and never passed up an opportunity to share the Gospel. His strength was unmatched, but it was his unwavering faith that defined him the most.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Diane Black Kivett; daughters Crystal Kivett Weichelt (Travis) and Melissa Kivett Cox (Bryan); brother Danny Kivett (Pat); sister Debbie Harris; grandchildren Bryson Ludwig (Racquel), Callie Ludwig, Michaela Ciechowski (Kenneth), Caleb Perkins, Savannah Weichelt, Jaxson Weichelt, Maxton Cox, and Alivia Cox; and great-grandchildren Harper and Blakley.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Coggins Kivett; father, Paul Kivett; and brother, Douglas Evans.
Pastor Kivett leaves behind a legacy of revival, restoration, and relentless love for Christ. Though our hearts ache, we rejoice knowing he has received his eternal reward in heaven and a crown that overflows with jewels—each representing a life he touched in Jesus’ name.
The family thanks you for your love, support, and continued prayers.
