Diane Black Gunter

Diane Black Gunter, 68, of Sanford passed away on Tuesday July 21, 2026. A graveside service will be held on Friday July 24, 2026 at Center United Methodist Church at 10am.

Diane was born in Lee Co. to the late Edward Leon Black and Winnie Irene Spivey Black. She enjoyed watching her birds in the yard, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and listening to Elvis. She loved her family, especially hanging out with her granddaughters. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Sammy Black, Tommy Black, and Ronnie McNeill.

She is survived by her husband John Anthony “Johnny” Gunter; sons John Anthony Guner II (Cynthia) and Jeffery Alan Gunter; granddaughters Alyssa Nicole and Aubrey Grace; brother Ricky Black (Kim); and sister Barbara Griffin.
