David Cranwell Gerken

David Cranwell Gerken died Friday, April 22, 2022 at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst.

Celebration of life service planned for May 22, 2022 at Journey Church in Sanford, NC on 2901 Beachtree Drive, Sanford, NC at 3:00 pm.

David was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on June 27, 1982. He grew up in Norwalk and Milan Ohio. He graduated from Edison High School in 2000. David graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2008 with a BS degree in computer science. David worked for various businesses and software companies as a Data Analyst and Sql. developer. David enjoyed music and art. He lived in Lakewood, Ohio for the last 7 years.

David is survived by his mother, Robin Foushee Patterson and husband Greg Patterson of Sanford.  HIs father is William Gerken of Sandusky, Ohio, sisters Kate Barnes and husband, Ricky of Sanford,  Abby Duffey of Cleveland, Ohio, Rachel Patterson of Raleigh, Cole Patterson and his wife Megan of Sanford,  Sam Patterson and wife Robyn of Raleigh and Tyler Patterson and wife, Sarah. Nieces and nephews include Josie Duffey, Elliot and Emmett Barnes, Ellis and Merritt Patterson. Annie Hayes.
