Charles Edmond Martin

Charles E. Martin, 93 of High Point, formerly of Sanford, peacefully passed away Sunday April 28, 2024.A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 19, 2024 at First Baptist Church. Time to be announced.

Charles was born in Montgomery Co, a son of the late Charles H. Martin and Mary Wright Martin. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Martha Stallings Martin and his son, Steven Charles Martin. Mr. Martin was a member of First Baptist Church, a past president of the Sanford Lions Club, past president of the NC Poultry Federation, served two terms on the NC Agriculture Foundation, attended Mars Hill College and graduated from NC State University.

Mr. Martin is survived by his daughter, Marlene M. Wright (Shane) of High Point; three grandchildren, Bradley Wright, Blaire Weavil, and Stewart Wright, as well as three great- grandchildren; brothers, Leighton Martin of Brevard, and Dr. William M Martin of Hendersonville.
