Carrie Boyles Almond, 93 of Sanford passed away Saturday June 6, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday at Cool Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Church.
Mrs. Almond was born in High Point, daughter of the late David Bucie Boyles and Rose Wooten Boyles. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William “Bill” Almond, who was the love of her life.
She was a loving mother to David Almond (Carolyn), Debi Lancaster (Jay), and Mary Lineberry (Terry), who preceded her in death. Her love extended to her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Throughout her life, Carrie worked in banking, DA'S Restaurant, and Almond's Music. For 62 years, she was a faithful member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. Carrie loved directing the Cherub Choir, Acteens leader, and her Sunday School Class. Her passions in life were sewing, quilting, fishing at Topsail Island, card games with friends, UNC basketball games, and spending time with her family. While her family grieves her loss, they rejoice in the promise of eternal life and know she has been reunited with loved ones and is in the presence of her Savior.
The family will greet friends beginning at 11:00 am Tuesday at Cool Springs Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kent Bullard Scholarship Fund, at Cool Springs Baptist Church, something that was dear to her heart.
