Carolyn Elmyra Jarman

July 1, 1933 — March 11, 2018

Carolyn Elmyra Poplin Jarman, 84 of Sanford peacefully passed away Sunday March 11, 2018 at Parkview Retirement and Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Sanford at 1 PM Wednesday March 14, 2018. Burial will be at 4PM at Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Norwood, NC.

 

She was born in Stanley County, on July 1, 1933 to the late Paul Alexander Poplin and Mary Elizabeth Russell Poplin. She is also preceded in death by her Husband Harry Otto Jarman, brothers David Poplin and Jarrett Poplin. Mrs. Jarman graduated from Queens Business School and was a member of First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.

 

Surviving are two daughters Miriam Gunter (Kent) of Sanford, Mary Smith (Brad) of Raleigh,  two grandsons Morgan Kent Gunter (Heather) and Bradley Jennings Smith; brother Don Poplin (Jane) of Norwood, sisters in law; Brenda Poplin and Mary Elizabeth Poplin of Norwood; Frances Lilley of Williamston; many nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be held at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home on Tuesday March 13, 2018 from 6PM till 8PM.

 

Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Missions Program Fund, 202 Summit Dr, Sanford, NC 27330.
