Carol Stanley

Carol Gore Stanley, 91 of Sanford, formerly of Raleigh, passed away Monday July 8, 2019.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Friday at St Andrews United Methodist Church in Raleigh. The family will greet friends following the memorial service.

Mrs. Stanley was born in Columbus Co, daughter of the late Samuel P. Gore and Grace Lee Long Gore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Joseph Stanley; siblings, Joseph Gore and Barbara G. Stephens. Mrs. Stanley was a Charter Member of St Andrews United Methodist Church in Raleigh and retired from teaching after 30 plus years with the Public School System.

Mrs. Stanley is survived by her son, J. Craig  Stanley and wife Dianne; two grandsons, Blake Stanley and wife Lindsay of Winston Salem, and Jonathan Stanley and wife Blair of Raleigh; two great grandchildren, McCall and Worth; one brother, Sam Gore of Whiteville.
