Carl Edward Owens

Carl Edward Owens, 83 of Sanford passed away Wednesday June 21, 2023.

Services will be private.

Mr. Owens was born in Muscogee Co Georgia, son of the late Carl Emery Owens and Minnie Hutchin Owens. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis Louise Thomas Owens, and two daughters, Deborah O. Watson, and Pamdoria O Davis. Mr. Ownes was a simple man who served in the US Army National Guard, retired from the Brick industry, and lived his life by a simple motto, “I Live, Loved and Died Holding My Own”.

Mr. Owens is survived by his son, Marty “Moose” Owens of Carthage; sister, Maryann Cummings; eight grandchildren, Austin Owens, Katelyn Owens, Mason Owens, Danny Gautier, Steven Gautier, Robin Rodriguez, Cecilia Holt, and Stephanie Watson; nineteen great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
