Brian Ashley Denkins

Brian Ashley Denkins, 47 of Sanford, met his Shepherd on September 18th, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Shepherd’s Baptist Church by the Reverend Don Whitener. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Brian was born in Lee County, NC on February 19th, 1979. Brian was preceded in death by his biological father Bruce Denkins. Most importantly Brian loved Jesus. He was actively involved in his church. Brian was an avid Carolina Tarheels fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his 3 girls. Brian also loved to golf with his buddies. Brian was very caring and always took care of those around him.

Brian is survived by his parents Gary and Adele Scott; his three girls Payton Denkins, Presleigh Denkins, and Camryn Scott; his sister Shellie Scott and the mother of his children, Kari Cordero.

Memorials may be made in memory of Brian Denkins to Shepherd’s Baptist Church at 80 Pressly Foushee Rd. Sanford, 27330.

The family requests that everyone dress casually wearing Carolina blue for Brian. Go Tar Heels!
