Bhagwandin Singh

Bhagwandin Singh, 78, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026.

Bhagwandin was born on October 20, 1947, in Plantation Port Mourant, Guyana, South America.

A viewing will be held at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home, on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A Hindu ceremony service will proceed from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A private cremation will follow the service at a separate location.

Bhagwandin was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. On June 29, 1969, he married the love of his life, Devika, and together they shared 57 wonderful years of love, devotion, and family. He loved his wife with all his heart and found his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his life. He cherished every moment with his family and was happiest when they were together.

He found happiness in life's simple pleasures, often relaxing in his hammock in the garage while listening to music throughout the day. His love of music was wide-ranging and included Indian, Soca, Reggae, and Calypso. He also enjoyed watching videos on YouTube, spending time doing yard work, taking on automotive mechanical challenges, and watching WWE. Whether fixing something or figuring out how an engine worked, he appreciated the satisfaction of solving mechanical problems and staying busy with hands-on projects.

One of Bhagwandin's favorite things was calling on his grandchildren to help him with his electronics, whether it was his smartphone, iPad, or television. Those moments became treasured memories filled with laughter, patience, and the special bond they shared.

He is survived by his loving wife, Devika Singh; his children, Sudesh Singh, Savika Singh, and Jennifer Singh Wicker (Brad); and his cherished grandchildren, Samantha Singh, Brandon Singh, and Ryan Singh.
