Beverly Almond

Beverly Simpson Almond, 63 of Lillington passed away Saturday August 29th, 2020.

Beverly was born in Winter Haven, FL, daughter of the late Sammy Lee Simpson and Carolyn Singletary Simpson. She was preceded in death by her son Matthew Almond and daughter Sarah Almond, stepfather Andy Andleton, brother Pat Simpson, sister Kathy Andleton Talbott,

Beverly was known by her friends as Bev, but to our family she was known as G'Ma. She had a passion for cooking, gardening and anything related to books. She left a lasting impression on her Grandson's with her passion for early childhood literacy. One author that she was particularly passionate about was Mo Williems. Her Grandchildren will forever love his books in her memory. She also shared her love of the kitchen with her Grandson's. Every Christmas and most other holidays you would find her in the kitchen with her Grandson's making special cookies. G'Ma will forever live in our hearts.

Beverly is survived by her son, Josh Almond (Amy) of Lillington; two grandchildren, Mason Almond and Grayson Almond; sisters, Debbie Hoyt and Kay Bassknight (Tommy); brother, Tommy Simpson (Jeanette) also Sheryl Simpson her sister-in-law.
