Bethany "Beth" Buchanan

Bethany Von Canon Buchanan, 101 of Sanford passed away Friday morning July 26, 2019. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday September 8, 2019 at St Luke United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the Ladies Parlor.

Mrs. Buchanan was born in Moore Co, a daughter of the late Forest Whitney Von Canon and Margaret Elizabeth McCaskill Von Canon. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter “Buck” Buchanan and an infant son Walter Whitney Buchanan Jr. Beth was a member of St Luke United Methodist Church, the Lucille Hunter Sunday School Class and the Circle #9.

Mrs. Buchanan is survived by her sisters, Peggy Wyatt of Sanford, Jean Hilton of Colorado, and Clara “Took” Bowles of Carthage; many nieces and nephews.
