Benjamin Franklin Nunn Jr

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Benjamin F. Nunn, Jr. Ben was born in Goldsboro, NC, and passed away at the age of 66 in Sanford, NC, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ben earned his associate’s degree from Stanly Technical College in Albemarle, NC, where he met Jayne, his best friend and wife of 41 years. He worked as a biomedical technician for 40 years, repairing medical devices. In addition to his work, Ben had many hobbies including gazing at the night skies through his telescope, stunt kite flying at the beach, and taking long walks. Ben loved science and both reading and watching science fiction.

Ben was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jayne Morrison Nunn, and two daughters, Charlotte Waterhouse (Peter) and Caitlin Bertrand (Andrew). Ben had three grandchildren, Juliet, Leo, and Clarissa, with whom he spent many happy hours. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to North Carolina Adapted Sports, Autism Society of North Carolina, or a charity of your choice.
