The world lost a bright light Sunday, August 21st, 2016 and heaven's glow became a bit brighter with the passing of Abigail Cameron. Abby's struggle with cancer was a large part of her 59 years here on earth and we all learned so much from her will to fight all the way to the end. Abby was born on April 23rd, 1957 in Sanford, NC to Tom and Daisy Cameron but spent her youth growing up in the eastern part of the state. When Abby was in high school her family moved to the Capital City. She has so many great friends from Raleigh where she resided most of her adult life.
Abby worked her entire professional career as a dental hygienist. She loved her work. Abby grew up wanting to be a dental hygienist. She often told family, "I have the best job ever, I go to work and talk with friends all day".
Abby is survived by her parents Tom and Daisy Cameron of Carthage, NC, her sisters Beth Baldwin (Larry), Ann Behar (Mike) and Sylvia Cameron Scott. Also, Abby's brother, John Cameron (Maida). Abby is also survived by twelve nephews and nieces who adored her. Alex Baldwin (Michelle), Cameron Joyce (Richard), Lawrence Baldwin (Cheri), Elizabeth Behar, Rebecca Behar, Blake Cameron, Grayson Cameron, Adrienne Cameron, Jack Cameron, Randy Scott, Carson Scott and Bailey Scott. She also had three great-nieces (Lila, Mae, Laney) and one great-nephew (William).
Services will be held at White Hill Presbyterian Church located at 3335 White Hill Road, Sanford, NC 27332, at 11:00am Saturday August 27th. A brief graveside service will be held immediately following the church service.
